Dear Sangha,
Lama Karma Drodhul would like to relay to all of Rinpoche’s students and the wider sangha that Rinpoche’s tests of the colon and stomach went very well. The doctors believe that small places of concern are a result of aging and will not prove to be cancerous. Samples have been sent for lab tests and results will return within a couple of days. As soon as these results are given, we will send the information to you.
Tomorrow at 11:30 a.m. Rinpoche will have surgery to remove the small area which is cancerous.
The source of the cancer is unknown and there are other tests to come, and so prayers are needed. Rinpoche will have a PT scan in the coming week or so.
At this time Rinpoche has no comment to make, but would like you to know he is in no discomfort. He will comment after the whole process is complete.
Previous teaching commitments require that Lama Karma Drodhul be in New York City until Thursday, so our next update from him will be on Friday.
Lama Karma wishes to thank everyone for their prayers and practice and asks that everyone please continue to pray and practice Medicine Buddha for Rinpoche.
